What happens when an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) meets a 50 mile round trip commute? Start getting real… The real commute.
Mark the date. Today I had to buy gas from the station down the street. I’ve had the car for almost 6 months and I finally burned through the tank the car came with. I would have made it much further but I took a mini 200 mile round trip to visit family and only got a 10 mile overnight charge one day when the Kill-A-Watt I had the car plugged into decided to up and die… (note to self what a piece of garbage, at least I found out it takes roughly 13KWH to charge overnight so I can do a rough calculation for electricity costs).
The Volt has been nagging me for about a week that I was low on fuel. Honestly I think I could have pushed it a couple of more weeks but why take the chance
$4.399 Per gallon
Returned from my short biz trip to an even shorter work week! 3 days of driving this week. The care has really settled into a pretty consistent range.
For the most part I use about 0.1 gallons of gas per day with an every once in a while full electric round trip.
2 posts in one! I’m going to wrap up my daily posts and start with week summaries. Who needs a million pictures of the same screens everyday The internet will be happy for me to cut down on the waste haha.
